DTF Transfer Press Instructions

Get the best results from every transfer

Prepare the Garment

Pre-press for 8–10 seconds to remove moisture and smooth out the fabric. This creates a clean, even surface for your transfer.

Apply Heat & Pressure

Place the transfer on the garment and press using firm, even pressure for 8–15 seconds. Choose the temperature based on the fabric:

Cotton

300–320°F

Polyester & Blends

260–275°F

Tip:

Always test on a similar garment first, especially when working with heat-sensitive fabrics.

Peel the Transfer

Our transfers are designed for hot peeling, so you can generally peel the film immediately after pressing. If you're unsure whether you've applied enough pressure, allow the transfer to cool before peeling. When using a household iron, always use a cool-peel method.

Finish With a Final Press

For a stronger, more durable finish, place parchment paper or a thin cotton fabric over the design and press again for approximately 5 seconds.

Important

For consistent results, make sure your heat press is properly calibrated and that the pressure is set correctly. Heat, time, and pressure all work together to ensure your transfer bonds properly to the garment.
